Qimti Paienjton

Qimti is a child rights specialist with over twelve years of experience working with UNICEF across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East to strengthen children’s access to education, health, and protection services.

Her work focuses on designing and operationalising programmes that respond to the specific needs of children and adolescents — from concept notes and advocacy briefs to manuals, toolkits, and SBC resources. She is deeply committed to participatory approaches, ensuring that the perspectives of young children and their caregivers inform the design and continuous improvement of policies and programmes.

A national of Pakistan, Qimti holds Master’s degrees in Public Policy and Administration and in Early Childhood Education, as well as a certificate in Early Childhood Development for Sustainable Development. Currently based in Türkiye, where she supported the integration of Syrian refugee children into public schools, she has also lived and worked in Zambia, Myanmar, Thailand, Sierra Leone, and the United States.
