Deepak Mehra

 

Deepak Mehra is a social and behavior change specialist and project manager. He has extensive experience in designing, managing and implementing SBC initiatives in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Denmark, Indonesia, Maldives, Nigeria, Serbia, Tajikistan and the Philippines.

Deepak’s work covers health promotion and demand generation interventions on vaccine uptake, maternal and child health, nutrition, polio, tuberculosis, leprosy, HIV/AIDS, family planning, adolescent sexual reproductive health, malaria, water, sanitation and hygiene projects (WASH), adult literacy and anti-discrimination. He values achieving results through participatory communication and out-of-the-box approaches.

Deepak specialises in SBC institutional assessment, capacity building and entertainment education. Besides being a SBC master trainer, he is also an experienced television producer/director. An Indian national, Deepak has an MA in mass communication, and over 20 years’ experience working for various UN agencies, the Asian Development Bank, the European Union, as well as USAID- and DFID-funded projects.
