Emily Southall is a research professional with front-to-end, multi-country research and project management skills, working across private, third and public sectors. A mixed methods researcher, she is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative techniques with a focus on understanding the social impacts of media and communications and supporting development outcomes.

Emily pays special attention to ensuring people, especially underserved and hard-to-reach audiences, are at the center of decision-making. As such, she is experienced in designing inclusive research processes to help understand complex topics.

As a leader with managerial experience, Emily has a track record of successful proposal writing, business development and profile raising, while overseeing budgets and strategy. Emily has led projects in cross-cultural environments, with diverse and multi- lingual audiences, and is skilled at handling diverse distributed teams across the world.

Emily, a British national, is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where she is currently a freelance researcher.
