Randy Novirsa

 

Randy Novirsa is an environmental health specialist and researcher with ten years of experience working in environmental health research in Indonesia. He specializes in environmental epidemiology, environmental health risk assessment and management, and environmental toxicology.

He partnered with WHO to design the Indonesia Indoor Air Quality Roadmap in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health, where he acted as an environmental expert. Randy has also collaborated with the Prefectural University of Kumamoto and National Institute of Minamata Disease, Japan, on mercury research and management in Indonesia.

 Randy has a PhD in Environmental Science with specialization in heavy metal pollution related to food and health. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Andalas University, West Sumatra, and as Research Associate at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia.
